MY DEAREST B---- You already know and value this Book in its original form of question and answer. It was written by a revered friend of your mother's and mine; who, as he was in the practice of catechising the children of his parish, probably found such a form most useful for that purpose. For reading, however, and especially for reading aloud, I have often wished it were free from this interruption; and I now venture to reprint it with this single alteration, and offer it to you with the best wishes of your affectionate AUNT.                  March, 1851.
